Despite Wonder Woman sweeping up at the box office, inspiring women and girls around the world, making Patty Jenkins the highest paid female director of all time, and shooting Gal Gadot into super stardom, the Israeli actress has had to bat away more than one question about the size of her breasts. A bizarrely controversial topic which has dogged Wonder Woman's appearance all the way to the United Nations.
Gal Gadot recalled in the past how Wonder Woman "fans" complained that her proportions were not up to snuff, arguing that her breasts (and butt) were too small to accurately portray the Amazonian demigod. There was also a bit of an uproar about her bleached armpits. Gadot has opened up about the ridiculousness of these controversies before, but gave the perfect response when asked about it in a recent interview with Rolling Stone.
Appearing on the cover of the July issue and discussing her astronomical rise to stardom, Gadot gave the most hilarious and on-point comment on the subject of the breast controversy, saying:
“I told [critics], 'Listen, if you want to be for real, then the Amazons, they had only one boob. Exactly one boob. So what are you talking about here? Me having small boobs and small ass? That will make all the difference.”
The straight-forward actress followed up her comments by talking about how sexist the whole thing was, saying:
“It's the ultimate sexism to say because she has big breasts and a costume on, that is what you think represents her and who she is. Women do have breasts and women can defend themselves and fight back. Wonder Woman is about telling the truth.”

Thankfully, all this ridiculous body shaming has only helped Gal Gadot's light shine even brighter, making her an excellent feminist role model for young women.
