Base’s artistes to watch this year, Indigenous
Hip Hop Artiste, Terry Apala, has declared that
he is not under any form of pressure to switch
from his genre of music. Terry who has just
released his first single in 2017, a thumping
mid tempo song titled Social Media, boasted in
a chat with Showtime that like artistes doing
other genres of music, he is ready and would
take Apala music to the world in 2017. He
believes that with his talent and stage craft he
can grab international award nominations and
possible wins with his Apala music. “I’m not

“Before going into anything, you need to put
God first, before I started this music career, I
prayed to God, so I’m not under any pressure
because I’m not competing with anybody,
Terry Apala is different from others. I’m just
doing my thing with my management and my
team, there is no pressure coming from
anywhere. I’m taking Apala music to the
world; I’m going to get international awards
like other big artistes.
“As a guitarist, I’m bringing my craft into the
game; I’m trying to change Apala music from
what it used to be. I’m putting my band
together to change the game away from the
normal DJ stuff we’re used to, and I know that
by the grace of God, I will succeed”, he
boasted.
