The Mortality of Man and the Legacy We Leave Behind.
The passing of Dr. Doyin Okupe is a solemn reminder of the fleeting nature of life. No matter how powerful, wealthy, or influential we may be, death remains the great equalizer. The breath we take for granted today is not guaranteed tomorrow.
What truly matters is not the riches we amass, the positions we hold, or the power we wield, but the impact we make on the lives of others. We will not be remembered for the wealth we hoarded or the resources we misused, but for the kindness we showed, the justice we upheld, and the positive change we brought to our communities.
To Nigeria’s politicians and leaders: let this be a moment of reflection. The wealth and power of this world will not follow us beyond the grave, but the consequences of our actions, good or bad, will outlive us. There is a time for everything, and ultimately, there will be a time for accountability before our Maker.
Let us, therefore, strive to leave behind a legacy of service, integrity, and selflessness, so that when our time comes, we will be remembered not for what we took, but for what we gave.
